Technical and Industry Experience:
- Extensive experience within the mining sector.
- Significant experience including technical and staff supervisory experience.
- Experience with coaching, mentoring and managing performance.
- Ability to manage resources for multiple complex mining projects.
- Experience with recruiting, interviewing, and hiring of personnel in the mining sector.
- A strong background in discipline work, and a competent understanding of regulations, codes, manufacturing standards, and industry standard practices.
- Experience in discipline setup, instituting work processes, monitoring a team, producing deliverables, and project delivery.
- Capable of effectively communicating and presenting complex program proposals and resource plans.
- Proven leadership skills in multi-cultural and multi-office environments with a cooperative team approach.
- Commitment to customer service and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Experience in the development of proposals and manhour estimates.
- Strong understanding of project delivery, execution, and problem solving.
- Prior resource management and leadership experience.
- Knowledge and experience in working with external workshare offices
Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:
Required:
- Engineering degree is preferred, however, a technical certificate from an accredited institution in any of the following fields: Electrical, Mechanical, Piping, Civil Structural, Instrumentation and Controls, Process etc.. is acceptable.
- Attend our Burnaby office four days a week.
Preferred:
- A valid PEng with the province of British Columbia, or another Canadian Territory or Province.
For applicants based in the province of British Columbia, the salary range is $170,020 to $279,365.Application of the pay band: Variation in salary is determined by factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
